Why should I be concerned about candle safety?
Safety is a huge concern for anyone that uses candles. Over 41% of all candle-related fires are caused by candles left unattended. Because candles are a part of many homes, and because it's easy to forget about how serious a candle mishap can be, we feel it's important to provide some simple yet important candle safety tips.
- Never leave a room where a candle is burning. If you must leave the room, please be sure to snuff your candle.
- Never let a candle burn for more than three hours. Check your candle's manufaturer recomendations, as some candles ought be snuffed before three hours.
- Don't set your candle near anything flamable, such as beside curtains.
